When it comes to web browsers I use Safari as my daily tool. I cannot say I find Safari better than other browsers. I think using it became a habit grown out of laziness. And being lazy I also use the save password feature in the browser.
Neither do I like remembering all of the dozens of passwords you need nowadays nor am I eager to type them in any single time. The browser is not the best choice to put all your trust onto but it is at least a convenient one. So I didn't really care until lately. After I let Safari remember the credentials for this site I was quite shocked when I came back the next time.
I created a new user in this CMS to show you the effect. I browsed to my own blog and on the login I entered the credentials for the newly created test user (I set "supersecure" as the password for the test user). Being asked if I want to store the credentials I clicked "Ok". Then I closed the page, opened a new one and came back to my blog.
Safari while trying to be helpful showed me what you can see on the following screenshot. I don't think there is any need for commenting this

What is this error (or even feature)? A very good version of Off-by-one? The username for the test user was "pwtest" and if you look at the password field than it contains as much dots as "pwtest" would give you.
To be honest I don't really care. But today is the day to say bye-bye to Safari save password feature and to say hello to 1Password
